I woke up yesterday morning to this sms:

Congratulation! Anda memenangi CEK TUNAI RM11,000.00 from MAXIS. Info sila hubungi perkhidmatan Hotlink MAXIS 006281399293555. Terma Tertakluk

I was so happy! Ok ok. I know that there are many cases these days where ppl cheat your money by telling you that you've won something, eg cash, prizes etc. But I have a feeling that this has got to be true since it's an sms from my phone service operator HOTLINK. I've received many advertisements from HOTLINK before so I know that this has got to be from HOTLINK as well. IT HAS GOT TO BE! (I DON'T CARE) Perhaps, it IS my lucky day.

I told my mum and brother about it but they were sceptical about it, especially my mum, lecturing me about not being greedy.
I was lying to myself that it has got to be true though in my heart, I was questioning to why on earth HOTLINK doesn't call me and why is the customer service number so damn long? I went online to check the hotlink website for such competition but to no avail. At last, I decided to google it. and this is what I found:

Seems like many ppl won that RM11 000 as well.!!!!!!!!!!!

True enough it was a fraud! (Thank God I did not waste my money calling him)

It is a number of an Indonesian guy who decided to cheat ppl of their money. Something about giving him our MAYBANK account with at least RM1000 in it and the RM1000 will be the commission for the cheque.
